Context:  Healthcare workers are at the front-line of managing patients during a pandemic. Strict infection control protocols protect healthcare workers from getting infected themselves, ensuring that they can continue to provide care to patients without risking their own health. The next pandemic has been reported on the news in a foreign country. You have been called into your State Infectious Disease Command Center in downtown Omaha, Nebraska as part of a special student task force formed to come up with solutions to fortify and level up our State’s response to this potential crisis in the area of infection control.
