Context

Context: A nationwide mistrust of the police has been growing for years and part of that is due to a general lack of knowledge. In the high-stake situations, officers often have to take actions that contradict natural instinct. Many people do not understand these actions because they are not widely explained and this leads to mistrust.

Company Spotlight: The Lincoln Police Department Explorer Program is an exploratory experience for anyone ages 14-21 whether they are determined to go into the field or just looking to learn more about it. It teaches teens about the different careers in law enforcement while putting them in the shoes of those officers in simulated training environments. Many police departments across the nation have similar explorer programs.
